About Us

The Scone and Upper Hunter Historical Society has been working since 1956 to collect and preserve the story of Scone and the Upper Hunter. Local people have worked over more than 60 years towards the goal of providing a resource for family historians and others with a quest for knowledge of the past.

We are a volunteer run organization focused on preserving the history of Scone and the Upper Hunter. With the help of our volunteers we collect and display items and stories from the past. We show why we live where we live.
